Cleaning Out the Storage Unit - Part 2

Our last trip to empty our self storage unit. At this point all that was there were some items going to my parents (tools, shelves, a microwave) and a bunch of car parts for Nausicaa, the 1993 Honda Prelude project. We moved with a Penske Ford F-350 16' rental truck.
It did not take us all that long to empty the unit and fill our oversize truck.

We are happy to be done with storage units.

Cleaning Out the Storage Unit - Part 1

We are finally living somewhere long enough to empty our storage unit. This was done in two moves. First move brought stuff to our current residence. We used a 15' truck rented from U-Haul for this move.

Breaking down the shelving units took nearly the same amount of time as emptying the storage unit.

Self Storage Shelving, Part 2

In the original post on self storage shelving, I showed the shelves my wife and I assembled and used in our self storage unit. These are the images of the fully packed unit when we were done.

Not really much to discuss here, this is just the result. Primarily loads of vertical space to use.

Self Storage Shelving

My wife and I are renting a storage unit while we spend ~7 months living in Florida. We are keeping a good amount of the stuff we do not need to take with us (but we would like to have when we finally have more permanent living quarters or a house) in a self storage unit.
We have done this before but found that we wasted a lot of vertical space and had to be very concerned with how things we stacked.
This time we bought a few Husky Steel Garage Shelving Units in order to better maximize our storage space and it makes a world of difference.
The shelves are 77 in. wide, 78 in. high, and 24 in. deep. Each shelf (when evenly spaced as here) is rated for 2,000 lbs. per shelf.
